DIY – Calla Lily Corsage & Boutonniere

Calla corsage.jpg

For elegant, classy weddings, calla lily flower is the best candidate.  Calla lilies arrangements are easy to arrange and because they can last without a source of water for a long time, they are great for personal flowers; corsages, boutonnieres, and bouquets.

For corsages and boutonnieres use megium-size or miniature callaliles. For a boutonniere use one medium or two mini flowers. For a corsage use three mini or two medium-size flowers.

It is hard to create an elegant-looking corsage or boutonniere with two flowers; two next to each other look like the letter ‘V’.

I suggest inserting one flower into another creating that fancy raffle look.

Cut one stem of one flower, wrap it around another flower lower about 1/3  of the length of the flower, and secure it with hot glue.

Hot glue the beginning of corsage tape on the outer flower and secure it to the stem of the inner flower covering the entire stem.

Insert into the stem a corsage pin and secure with hot glue. Then pin a 1/2″ wide ribbon camouflaging the tape.

For a corsage create a fancy bow
