The Art Institute of Chicago

GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY

Of the New North Wing, 2005

For the celebration of this special occasion, Mila Design brought to life the McCormick Memorial Garden of the Art Institute creating a blessing of the garden with gigantic fantasy arrangements of flowers in vibrant colors. Hundreds of floral chandeliers hanging from trees, slowly showering rose petals to the ground. Four six-foot flower arrangements crowned ten-foot iron towers with sparkling fireworks. All of this, coupled with mechanical objects and actors activities by the Reed Moon Theatre transformed the McCormick Memorial Garden onto a mystical fairyland.
